How To use Ruifiber Paper Joint Tape?

In home decoration, most people choose to use gypsum boards when decorating suspended ceilings. Because it has the advantages of light texture, good plasticity, and relatively cheap price. However, when dealing with the gaps between drywall boards, you need to apply a bandage to ensure that they will not crack in the future.

First we need to prepare the materials and tools needed to apply the bandage
Materials include: gypsum powder, 901 glue, gypsum board caulking paste, seam paper
Belt, sandpaper, etc.
Tools: scissors, trowel, batch knife, etc.

1. First, simply clean the surface of the gap and align the seam tape with the gap between the two gypsum boards. Paste the paper tape on the inner corner of the folded seam. Use a trowel to apply the gypsum caulking paste on the paper tape. After removing the dust and determining the position, affix a layer of seam paper tape for reinforcement.

2. Press the seam paper tape and stick it firmly to the gypsum board. Use a knife to evenly apply the gypsum caulking paste on the surface of the seam paper tape. Make sure there is no omission, and then scrape off the excess gypsum caulking paste.

3. Use a trowel to apply the second layer of joint paste, making it five centimeters longer on both sides than the first. After the joint paste dries, sand it smooth with fine sandpaper.

4. Apply gypsum caulking paste to both sides of the inner corner. Keep the amount even. Then fold the seam paper tape in half and stick it into the inner corner so that the paper tape is tightly adhered to the gypsum caulking paste.

There are some things to pay attention to when applying a bandage
1. After the bandage is applied, it is best to apply a layer of anti-cracking tape to prevent the top surface from cracking caused by thermal expansion and contraction. When applying it, be careful not to use air bubbles. Use a scraper to remove air bubbles while applying, so that the tape can adhere to the bandage. The drywall fits snugly.
2. The nail holes on the gypsum board are best treated with anti-rust nail hole putty, or replaced with cement, so that the nails on the gypsum board will not rust and the beauty of the gypsum board can be maintained over time.

Gypsum board is widely used in decoration. Stable and easy-to-use joint tape is crucial to the wall, so choosing Ruifiber Paper Joint Tape is the right choice.
